The dynamic she has with her friends (and those that aren't exactly her friends) on the Orion was organic. Beth, our protagonist, is someone I could root for from the beginning and I was happy to read a middle grade character with some genuine character development. It helps that we have such likeable characters taking the reins and it was intense and entertaining at the same time to watch their stories unfold. But an event happens, causing the adults to be unable to wake from their sleep, and six kids are the only ones who are able to wake and they must take control of the ship!įrom the first page I was intrigued by how the story was going to play out. The story was brilliantly plotted - we follow the passengers of the space ship Orion four months after its initial departure from Earth. ![]() Orion Lost is my first middle grade science fiction book - and I want more!Ī fast-paced, action-packed book that always had something interesting happening. Re-Read May 2020: I love it even more than I did before. ![]()
